Digital transformation and application modernization for a large manufacturer
Background
A large manufacturing and services firm was looking to drive improved efficiencies and reduced costs through effective use of technology. The existing IT landscape consisted of legacy systems with no integration between them. Most of the processes were manual with significant duplication of efforts in re-keying data by each department.
Approach
AceNet team designed an API-based architecture that supports both application modernization as well as digital transformation with frontend built in ReactJS and backend in Python + FastAPI + SQL Server.
AceNet managed the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) using the Agile framework. This included IT architecture, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment using CI/CD pipelines and production support.
AceNet further conducted data analytics and developed dashboards in PowerBI and SSRS
Result
With the proposed solutions, the data is now collected a) only once (other departments have read-only access to data that they need), b) from all locations , c) in real-time, d) and processed using workflows with approval and e) by integrating with existing systems.
